PCB Signs Deal to Host ICC Champions Trophy in 2025

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially secured the hosting rights for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as it signed the hosting agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC) during a ceremony in Dubai. The agreement was inked by Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of PCB Management Committee, and Jonathan Hall, ICC General Counsel.

In a statement released following the signing, the PCB expressed its commitment to ensuring foolproof security for the participating international teams during the Champions Trophy. The board has already communicated with the government to coordinate and implement necessary security measures for a successful tournament.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, in a recent meeting with Zaka Ashraf, assured full cooperation from security agencies to ensure a secure and successful hosting of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The tournament is scheduled to feature a total of eight teams and will be contested in the One Day International (ODI) format. As Pakistan secures the hosting rights, there is anticipation and excitement among cricket enthusiasts for a thrilling competition featuring top cricketing nations.

The signing of the hosting agreement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan in the realm of international cricket, emphasizing the nation’s capabilities and commitment to organizing major cricket events.
